What do you expect in Karate?
Film, Karate Kids series are still many people's favorites. You can enjoy yourself with your entire family together. In the movie, Daniel learns karate from Miyagi-san. Since this is just fiction in a movie, the learning procedure happened in a very short period of time.
The movie encourage children “I can learn Karate, make myself strong.” But....
Many parents and children come to our dojo. They often ask us "how long does it take to get a black belt?" I usually answer, that it can take 3 years for some people but it is rare, for many people may take 10 years. Most of the time, my answer really discourages children. Then, they think "it is different from what I saw in the movie!"
Fair or not?
People pay the same amount of money and spend about the same amount of time on their training. However, the results would not be always same. Some of them get black belt, some of them can not get in the same time. Some children said, "it is not fair!"
There is no such thing as "fair" in this world unconditionally, but only there is always the consequence of your effort. Karate Dojo is the place to learn how you put your effort and earn something by your hands.
